Damdami Taksal demands release of Sikh prisoners

Anandpur Sahib – Damdami Taksal Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji Khalsa addressing the huge gathering during the 350th foundation day celebrations of the holy town of Sri Anandpur Sahib, demanded to release the Sikh prisoners, who are languishing in jails even after completing their sentence.   Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji’s demand came before the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.  Baba ji appreciated Badal for making “all out efforts” to bring 1Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar back to Punjab, while feeling sadden on his poor health and mental condition.

Baba Ji further asked Badal to continue with his efforts to bring back more such Sikh prisoners to their homeland, by talking with the other states, and urged the Centre Government to assist. Already, various Sikh organizations have been seeking the release of Sikh prisoners languishing in jails across India after completing their tenure.

Final request to the Sikh Nation that every Sikh should have uncut hair, every family should not cut their children’s hair, we all have responsibility. Further stated all Sikh organisations should come under unity of Kesri Nishan Sahib for the benefit of the Sikh Nation.
