The health insurance scheme would be provided only to those families who follow the Sikh Rehat Maryada.
Meanwhile, DSGMC has entered an agreement with Radiant B L Kapoor Hospital for starting the Guru Harkrishan Hospital. The private hospital would pay DSGMC an amount of Rs 25.5 crore which would be spent on education and health facilities.
The announcements came ahead of the March 11 elections to the Committee managing Gurudwaras and Sikh educational institutions in Delhi.
Sarna welcomed Delhi government’s decision to hold fresh DSGMC elections on March 11.
