UK: International Panthic Dal (I.P.D) congratulates Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Sant Samaj in winning the Delhi Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) elections. It is a big win for SAD who won 37 seats out of 46. Paramjit Singh Sarna lost by the highest margin of votes to SAD Manjinder Singh from Punjabi Bagh.
The SAD is the only Sikh dominated political party in India which has a proven track record of winning elections and coming to power in serving the people.
The election wins are attributed to the people – the people’s voice is heard and in the DSGMC Elections 2013, the people have given the Congress Party aided S. Paramjit Singh Sarna and his supporters a bloody nose at the hands of the SAD and Sant Samaj.
It must be remembered that the Congress Party were complicit as the attackers, desecrators and planners of the Operation Blue Star in 1984 and the organisers of 1984 Anti-Sikh Pogroms in Delhi.
It was only 10 months ago when voters decimated another enemy of the Sikh Nation through the democratic system such as the infamous Sirsa Dera. The Dera was seen in the 2007 Punjab elections as the major force behind the Congress which took control of the Malwa belt. However the Sirsa Dera Congress backed candidate, Harminder Singh Jassi (Jassi’s son is married to the daughter of the Dera Chief) was defeated by the SAD and Sant Samaj.
Election wins by the SAD and Sant Samaj in Punjab last year and the DSGMC 2013 elections, is an indicator that the Sikh nations enemies political demise can only happen through a united Sikh vote.
International Panthic Dal has supported Sant Samaj through the DSGMC elections and congratulate them on their landslide victory.
We endevour that this victory would abolish the use of antagonising speakers at the Dehli Gurdwaras to enable the Sikhs to unite with unified principles as defined by the Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
