Chandigarh, Mar 20 (PTI) The Punjab Government would ensure 100 per cent water supply and sewerage coverage for all cities and towns within the next three years, state Local Bodies and Medical Education and Research Minister Bhagat Chuni Lal today said. The government would also accord priority to decongest urban areas for streamlining traffic, he said after assuming charge as the new minister in the Parkash Singh Badal Cabinet. Lal said that to provide world class civic infrastructure in urban areas, the required number of flyovers and by-passes would also be constructed. He said that a meeting of senior officers of Local Government Department would be convened soon to review the status of ongoing projects besides prioritising the projects to be undertaken in near future to create country?s best urban infrastructure in the state.
