Rs 60K-cr drug smuggling in Punjab: Ex-DGP to HC
CHANDIGARH: Punjab’s former director general of police (prisons) Shashi Kant on Tuesday claimed before the Punjab and Haryana high court that drug smuggling worth over Rs 60,000 crore took place annually in the state and the money went into funding elections in the state.

AMRITSAR: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said the state government has formulated a Rs 2,000 crore master plan to refurbish Amritsar city by 2016.
