All-India Sikh Students Federation president Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad on Friday said the list prepared by Jaspal Singh Manjhpur (SAD Panch Pardhani) (of 120 Sikh) prisoners was updated on Friday. The list figures 17 life convicts who had completed their minimum sentence, eight senior citizens in jails and 54 miscellaneous prisoners. The 17 on the list are: Lal Singh alias Manjit Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment on January 8, 1997 (Total custody: 1992 till date, paroles availed)
Dilbagh Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment on February 26, 2007 (Total custody: Sept 20, 1999 to Nov 21, 2004 and February 26, 2007 till date, paroles availed)
Swaran Singh: Convicted to life term on May 30, 2000 (Total custody: October 17, 1990 to March 5, 1991 and May 30, 2000 till date, paroles availed)
Balwant Singh Rajoana: Convicted to death sentence on July 27, 2007. Sentence stayed by the home ministry by order dated March 28, 2012 (Total custody: 1995 till date)
Nand Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment (Total custody: 1995 till date)
Lakhwinder Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment on July 27, 2007 (Total custody: 1995 till date, parole availed)
Gurmeet Singh Meeta: Convicted to life imprisonment on July 27, 2007 (Total custody: 1995 till date, parole availed)
Shamsher Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment on July 27, 2007 (Total custody: 1995 till date, parole availed)
Subheg Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment (Total custody: 1995 till date, parole availed)
Hardeep Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment on February 5, 1997 (Total custody: March 31, 1993 to February 4, 1997, from February 5, 1997 to August 7, 2000, from April 12, 2006 till date, parole availed)
Baj Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment (Total custody: 1993 till date, parole availed)
Waryam Singh: Convicted to life imprisonment on January 10, 1995 (Total custody: April 17, 1990 till date, parole not availed)
Gurdeep Singh Khera: Convicted to life imprisonment on December 15, 2001 (Custody: December 6, 1990 till date, parole not availed)
Devinderpal Singh Bhullar: Convicted to death sentence on August 25, 2001. Death sentence commuted to life imprisonment by the Supreme Court on March 31, 2014 (Total custody: January 1995 till date, parole not availed)
Jagtar Singh Hawara: Convicted to death sentence on July 27, 2007.
