FATEHGARH SAHIB: Former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh’s assassin Balwant Singh Rajoana, facing death row, has said that he did not want anyone to defend him.
His statement comes in the wake of a petition filed by Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann in Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking stay on Rajoana’s hanging. A letter purportedly written by him and released by his sister Kamaldeep Kaur reads, “I have no need of sympathy from Mann or any other Congress agent.”
The letter addressed to Sikh community says he has no relations with Mann.
